There are plenty of things to do at home during coronavirus social distancing. And no, this is not limited to introverts. Even if you can’t spend your time indoors, there are plenty of activities to do at home and keep you busy and productive at this time. The world needs you to stay indoors and do your bit.
Some researchers are saying that we might need to practice social distancing for the next two, three years if we want to save millions of people at risk. On that note, read on to know about things to do at home while social distancing.
1. Read, Read, Read!
Have you been giving yourself excuses that you don’t have time to read? Well, now, you have all the time. Take out all your books from your #ToBeRead pile and get reading. Even if you don’t have a lot of books, you can always order it online or buy the e-book versions on Kindle.

2. Cooking And Baking
If you like cooking for yourself and don’t get the time to indulge in it due to a hectic office schedule, now you have your chance. Just open a cookbook and try something new or perfect a dish you already know.
If you want to take it a notch, and you love desserts, try baking. Not only does it leave you with plenty of sweet dishes to savour later, but it is said to be quite therapeutic, and we need some in these trying times.

3. Binge-Watch And Chill
We were doing this before, but now you can do it without the added guilt of missing out on work and other commitments—Binge-watch to your heart’s content. 4. Treat Yourself To Some TLC
This could mean different things to everyone, but here we are talking about self-care. We often miss out on the vital part of living – really being there for ourselves. Now is the time! Whether you like to relax with a hot cup of tea with soothing music on the balcony or with a new face mask, you have been meaning to try, do it all now. For me, self-love is all about pampering my skin with my favorite sheet mask and trying different types of tea. Take your pick and do it in this time of social distancing.
5. Breathe In Some Fresh Air
Social distancing doesn’t have to be about locking yourself up. You can still move and go to the nearest park for a walk or jog in the evening. Of course, do maintain a distance of 6 feet with other people. Breathe in some fresh air. Your body will thank you for it.
6. Indulge In Your Lost Hobbies
Whether it was Arts and Crafts, Origami, or Calligraphy, whatever it is that you used to do before life happened, you can do it all now. These are some interesting things to do at home. If you love dancing, do so in your living room or sing to your heart’s content. Everyone has a hobby, and you decide what you like the most and get started.
7. Spring Clean Your House
Spring is here, and so is the time to clean out things that you don’t use. You don’t have to Marie Kondo your place but start re-organizing things and do away with whatever it is you don’t require. With all this extra time on your hand, you might as well make the most of it. And if possible, add some fresh flowers to your interiors, it brightens up everything.
8. Write, Journal Or Start Blogging
Another form of therapy is journaling, at least for some people. And if you have never tried doing this, now is the time. Write, scribble, doodle, or jot down everything running in your mind, I promise, it will help you. And if you don’t feel like doing this on paper, you can always count on blogging.
Create a blog for yourself (or for everyone) and start sharing your thoughts. You never know when your ideas might spark off a conversation with strangers and help you in building connections. Whatever your thing is, start doing it today.
9. Knock Off Your To-Do List
Of course, this list includes everything that doesn’t require you to travel for no reason. We all have a habit of making to-do lists but never completing it. With all the extra time you have right now, you can finally sit down and tick off things you meant to do since last year. Or maybe, check up on those New Year Resolutions and see if you can still stick to them?
10. Learn A New Language
With multiple online apps and virtual classes, you have all resources you need to start learning a new language. We are not saying you will become a pro, but you might learn something better than whiling away your time.

Apart from your college lectures, you can also attend classes for things that you want to add to your profile. Like a Digital Marketing course, you have been putting off, or Machine Learning and coding, there are tonnes of things you can learn to add to your knowledge. It might help you get closer to your dream job or anything else that you have meant to achieve.
