Let’s Nacho – Here Is Where You Can Go Bollywood Dancing In The City

     0

No matter how many experimental music nights you attend, there’s nothing like moving a leg on the best of Bollywood. When you really need to let that hair down, shake a leg or two and dance with abandon, there’s really no better way than to groove to some Bollywood beats.

From Badshah to Arijit Singh (remixed of course), here’s where to hit up Bollywood nights across Mumbai.

 99 Bollywood Bar

As it’s clear from the name, 99 Bollywood Bar takes its Bollywood seriously, and has the old bar vibe you’re so used to seeing in Bollywood. Their menu is quite extensive, and other than old classics and cocktail, also has plenty of options of things to eat with the alcohol.

The bar quickly turns into a dance floor on weekend nights, which usually include movie tracks, though they have themed nights during the week, as well.

When – Every Saturday and Sunday

Where – Evergreen Building, 3rd Road, Beside Khar Station, Ram Krishna Nagar, Khar West

Global Junction

Global Junction almost never disappoints, which can be said for their weekly Bollywood night, too. While we’d suggest heading to their Worli branch for this one, the Andheri one could be a better option for those staying that side. This is for the times you really need some Bollywood tunes in your system.

When – Every Thursdays;  8 PM onwards

Where – Ground Floor, Nehru Centre, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Opposite Nehru Planetarium, Worli

ZOOBAR, Vile Parle

Another one for those staying closer to the suburbs, ZOOBAR in Vile Parle is perfect if you’re in some mood for off-beat remixes and local sounds. They have special nights like Bollywood and Karaoke, too, so make sure to check in advance whenever you’re headed there. Like most other places, their Bollywood night is on Thursday, too.

When – Every Thursday, 8 PM onwards

Where – 1st Floor, Liberty Lodge, Dashrathlal Joshi Rd, LIC Colony, Vile Parle West

Club Sirkus, Sahara Star Hotel

Located in Sahara Star hotel in Vile Parle East, Club Sirkus is famous for its Bollywood nights on Friday and Saturday, though they also host special monthly Bollywood nights that’s really where all the Bollywood-dancing magic is. Make sure to check beforehand about their events to make the best of it.

When – Friday and Saturday

Where – Hotel Sahara Star Service Road Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Area, Vile Parle East, Mumbai

Hard Rock Cafe, Andheri

This one surprised us too! However, if you’re in the know, you know that they do Bollywood nights every other Thursday or Friday. The kicker: it’s usually live music! Also, don’t forget to treat yourself to a delish and highly underrated apple crumble before you leave. You’d have burned off enough calories dancing! Don’t forget to keep your card handy for easy payments.

When – Thursday and Friday

Where – Sharyans Audeu, Fun Cinema Lane, Near Balaji Telefilms, Off Veera Desai Rd, Veera Desai Industrial Estate, Andheri West, Mumbai

Hitchki, Powai

If you need to let out some steam and gloat about your dance move, then this modern Indian resto-bar has Bollywood nights on Fridays. If you’re in the mood for some drinks, you can also try their Bollywood-inspired ones like I Hate Tears and Geeta Babita. It’s perfect for the true-blue Bollywood fan, right?

When – Every Friday; 10:30 pm onwards

Where – G5 Transocean, Hiranandani Business Park, Lake Boulevard Road, Powai

Door No 1, Bandra

There’s no set day of the week that they play Bollywood here, but they do play Hindi music most of the time. It’s usually 90s Bollywood music, which makes these guys one of our favourites — you must go experience one to see for yourself.

When – Everyday

Where – C – 1 Ankleshwar, Shop Numbers 1&2, ONGC Colony, Bandra West, Mumbai

Special mentions go to Bombay Bronx, MRP {Dadar}, Zoo Bar and Tamasha for also hosting regular, fun Bollywood nights. Make sure to check them out! Also, remember that most of the above mentioned places do play Bollywood hits on the dance floor, it would be wide to check for their Bollywood night in advance. Happy dancing folks.
