Introvert Dancers, This Event Lets You Dance In The Dark
A world dance group, No Lights No Lycra lets you dance in the dark, without any inhibitions. Aimed at helping people experience the freedom of self-expression and joy through creative avenues, the group gives people a platform to dance without a care in the world.
Having originated in Melbourne, the format of the group is simple and has so far garnered a lot of fans around the globe. There is no light, no teacher, no steps to learn, no technique – just free movement. Whether you want to shake out the stress of work or just want to lose yourself in some music, this group has you sorted on both fronts. Best part? You can go alone, or with your partner/friends. Plus, there is no dress code, which means that you can even turn up in your pajamas.
The Mumbai ambassador for No Lights No Lycra is Yooti Bhasali and it takes place every weekend. It starts at 9:30 PM, with the next one happening on Aug 31 at The Cuckoo Club. The price per person is INR 299.
Plus, with a wide variety of music from pop, to folk, to rock, to hip hop being played, we are sure you will have tonnes of music to find your groove. You can even mail them your favourite song if you want it to play during the session.
