Try These Simple Egg Recipes At Home


An egg is one of the most commonly found ingredients in our pantries, and it is highly nutritious and healthy . It is one of the most versatile ingredients that can be boiled, scrambled, fried, or whipped, and it is delicious in every form. Easy egg recipes are convenient and don’t require too much culinary expertise to whip up. Here is a list of delicious and easy egg recipes to prepare and cook at your home.

1. Egg Akuri

Eggs Akuri is one of the unique Indian egg recipes given to us by the Parsi community. It is one of the easiest egg recipes, which is perfect for breakfast or tea-time snacks.


  • Five whole eggs
  • One tomato, chopped
  • One onion, chopped
  • Six cloves garlic, fine paste
  • One green chilli, chopped
  • Two tablespoon butter
  • Three tablespoons fresh cream
  • Coriander leaves, for garnish
  • Salt, to taste


To make Parsi style eggs akuri, chop tomatoes, onions, and chillies finely. Make the garlic paste and keep these ingredients aside. Crack all the eggs in a bowl and season with salt. Pour the cream into the egg mixture and whisk till the eggs are frothy. Place a pan on the heat and melt butter on it. Add the garlic, chillies, and onion. Sauté till the onions become translucent. Once the onions are soft, add in the tomatoes and cook this till the tomatoes are soft. Once this is cooked, add in the egg-cream mixture, cook for about a minute, and gently scramble the eggs. Continue this till the eggs are cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve this with pav or toast.

2. Desi Cheese Omelette

It doesn’t get much simpler than an excellent old desi cheese omelette perfect for a hearty breakfast when it comes to simple egg recipes.


  • Two whole eggs
  • ¼ onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ tomato, finely chopped
  • ¼ capsicum, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup cheese, finely grated
  • ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • One teaspoon garam masala powder
  • One teaspoon oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Coriander leaves, for garnish


Crack the eggs in a bowl and whisk well. Heat a pan and add all the onions, the rest of the vegetables, and the season with salt. Sauté this mixture on a high flame for about a minute. Add in all the spices and mix well. Reduce the flame to low and pour in the egg mixture. Let the base cook, and then flip it. Once it is cooked on both sides, add in the grated cheese.  Fold the omelette in half and allow the cheese to melt. Serve this delicious desi omelette hot with toast.

3. Egg Salad

If you are looking for egg recipes for dinner, an egg salad is one of the easiest and simplest egg recipes you just have to try.


  • Three hard-boiled eggs
  • Two tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • Two garlic cloves, minced            
  • Two tablespoons coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Three tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • One tablespoon mustard sauce
  • One teaspoon dried Italian herbs


To boil the eggs, simply bring a pot of water to boil, add in the eggs, and simmer for eight minutes. Once cooked, remove the eggs from their shell and chop them into small pieces. Add the chopped eggs, green onions, garlic, mustard sauce, mayonnaise, dried Italian herbs, and coriander leaves in a big mixing bowl. Mix this mixture well and check for seasoning. You can add an accompaniment like bread or a whole-wheat wrap to go with this delicious egg recipe.

4. Egg Curry

Egg curry is one of the tastiest Indian egg recipes, and it is one of the most staple egg recipes for dinner in an Indian household.


  • Five boiled eggs
  • Two onions, finely chopped
  • Three tomatoes, finely chopped
  • One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • One green chilli, slit
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 cup water
  • One tablespoon coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon Kasturi methi
  • Four tablespoons cream


To a hot pan, add onion and fry till golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till the raw aroma goes away. Add tomatoes and cook till they turn mushy. Add all the spice powders and season the mixture with salt. Cook for a few seconds till the spices are well incorporated into the mix. Pour water as needed to make gravy. Cook this till the curry thickens and the oil begins to separate. Add the boiled eggs and Kasturi methi. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
