One cannot go wrong with this mango dessert that is silky smooth, soft and just melts inside your mouth. Mango mousse is not just the finer mango dishesthat one ought to make during summers but you can keep on eating as a supplement after every meal. And preparation is fairly easy.

  • Ingredients needed

Mango pulp-sieved, chilled cream, cinnamon powder, lemon juice, sugar, gelatine, water, and a few mango slices.

  • Method of preparation

Take a small pan and put the mango pulp inside it. Now add 2 tsp of cinnamon powder and ½ cup sugar in this and keep stirring the mixture on low heat. In a separate bowl, take ½ cup of water and sprinkle the gelatine on it. Let it soak everything. When the mango mix warms up, add the gelatine and continue stirring till it attains a thick and coating consistency.

Take the mousse off from the pan and add lemon juice to it. Now for the cream, bet the chilled cream with ½ cup of sugar till it holds its shape. Once done, pour the sugar in the piping bag and add it to a transparent glass. Now pour over the mousse and garnish with sliced mangoes. Serve after chilling it.

2. Mango Cheesecake

This mango dessert recipe is a personal favorite because it just elevates the entire experience of eating a mango. Made with cream and mango puree, this cheesecake is the perfect for after dinner. Keep it chilled and eat it with freshly chopped mango toppings. 

  • Ingredients needed

Digestive biscuits, butter, castor sugar, mango pulp, pinch of salt, egg yolks, gelatine, chilled cream, mascarpone cheese/ hung curd, mango slices

  • Method of preparation

First, you need to prepare the base of the cheesecake, for this take about 20 digestive biscuits and make a fine powder of it in a food processor or by rolling it in a ziplock bag. Next, melt the butter and add these powdered biscuits to it. Turn off the heat and add the castor sugar. Mix it well until you get a fine and coarse paste. Now line this in a cake tin and spread it evenly with a spoon, spatula or bowl. Let it cool.

Take a cup of water and add the gelatine to it. And let it soak. Now, in a double boiler, add the mango pulp, sugar, salt and yolks. Cook all of this on low heat. Mix it properly and let it thicken. This is the custard that goes in the mango cheesecake. To make it of coating consistency, add the gelatine mixture to it and keep stirring. Cool it down till it is set partially.

Whip the chilled cream and add mascarpone cheese by folding it in. Add the mango mixture and fold it in thoroughly. Now, spread it over the biscuit base, and you have your cheesecake. Decorate it with mango slices and let it set in the fridge for six to eight hours.

Green Mangoes, Sugar, Salt, Black Rock Salt, Cumin, Mint Leaves and Water

  • Method of preparation

To prepare this delicious and savoury drink, boil green mangoes until the pulp becomes soft and the outer cover loses its colour. When the mangoes have cooled down properly, take out the skin and squeeze the mango pulp to prepare the base for your drink. After this, add ½ cup of sugar, 2 tsp of salt and black rock salt, 2 tsp of roasted and powdered cumin seeds. For the final ingredient, chop the mint leaves and add to them. Mix this blend properly, and then add two cups of water. Fill the serving glasses with ice cubes and pour over the Aam Panna on top of it.
